Baznas Distributes 4,000 Ready-to-Eat Meal Packages to Palestinians
Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) continues its commitment to global humanitarian missions by distributing ready-to-eat meal packages to residents affected by the conflict in Palestine. By the end of February 2026, 2,500 portions of the target 4,000 had been distributed to residents in Gaza. The distributions are being carried out in stages at critical locations, including Al Sahabini Camp and the Al Falogah area (Al Sultan Camp) in northern Gaza, and in Deir El Balah along the Gaza Strip. The aid reaches thousands of people who are currently struggling due to limited food access amid the protracted humanitarian crisis. Saidah Sakwan, head of Baznas RI’s Distribution and Utilisation, said the hot meals programme is an amanah from muzaki and Indonesian society that strengthens the Palestinian people. ‘Alhamdulillah, Baznas RI has once again shown up among our Palestinian brothers and sisters. The distribution of ready-to-eat meal packages is a tangible effort to ensure those affected, especially those in refugee camps, receive adequate nutrition. It is hoped that this aid will empower them during Ramadan,’ she said in a written statement on Wednesday (4/3). She emphasised that distribution will continue gradually until the target of 4,000 portions is reached. The primary focus of the distribution is in northern Gaza and the Gaza Strip, where there is an urgent need for food aid. ‘Baznas will not stop distributing humanitarian aid to Palestine. We are committed to continuing to accompany them through programs spanning food, health, and other urgent needs. This is a manifestation of Indonesia’s unlimited solidarity for humanity,’ she added. DT Peduli has again run the Ramadan Peduli Negeri (RPN) 2026 programme with the theme ‘Strengthening Care for Your Brothers in Remote and Across the Nation.’ Baznas again channels humanitarian aid to Palestinians affected by the conflict. This time, the aid consists of clothing totaling 2,400 packages. The programme is also supported by public figure Cinta Laura Kiehl, who provided trauma healing for children in affected areas. This initiative is a practical step toward translating interfaith solidarity into tangible action to address humanitarian issues in Indonesia in a collaborative manner. Baznas continues to channel aid to Gaza and to Palestinians fasting during Ramadan amid the humanitarian crisis. The assistance includes 1,314 iftar meal packages.
