The National Zakat Amil Board (Baznas) of Indonesia, through Sekolah Cendekia Baznas (SCB), has once again demonstrated its quality. Nine SCB students have been accepted into State Universities (PTN) via the 2026 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP).

Baznas RI’s Main Secretary, Subhan Cholid, expressed gratitude and pride over the SCB students’ success. He views this achievement as the result of support from muzaki (zakat donors) and optimal, targeted zakat management by Baznas.

“Alhamdulillah, this year, starting with the fourth cohort, nine students have been accepted through the SNBP pathway. May this be a good beginning, and subsequently, through other PTN admission pathways, SCB students can follow suit and enter PTN,” Subhan stated in a written release on Tuesday (7/4).

Furthermore, Subhan considers this accomplishment as evidence that zakat plays a strategic role in promoting equitable access to education. According to him, professionally managed zakat can open opportunities for underprivileged children to compete at the national level.

“This is what Baznas strives for, packaging zakat funds to support the education of underprivileged children,” Subhan said.

Subhan further emphasised that Baznas, through SCB, is committed to becoming a crucible for accelerating the transformation of mustahik (zakat recipients) into muzaki through education. This programme is expected to produce outstanding generations who excel not only academically but also possess strong morals.

In line with this, Subhan conveyed that Baznas targets an increasing number of SCB students to continue their education at state universities in the future. This effort is aimed at expanding the impact of zakat in improving the quality of human resources while alleviating poverty in Indonesia.

“May this achievement serve as motivation for even greater success in achievements, noble character, and inspiring other students,” he said.

Previously, in 2025, 80 percent of SCB students succeeded in entering PTN through various pathways, including achievement-based selection, written exams, and independent selection.

Sekolah Cendekia Baznas is an educational institution established by Baznas with an integrated approach, encompassing Islamic etiquette education, academics, entrepreneurship, as well as leadership and organisational skills.

Additionally, SCB provides non-formal education scholarship programmes, such as a two-year tahfidz school, and education from junior secondary to senior secondary levels for orphans and underprivileged children.

The following are the nine SCB students who successfully entered PTN via the SNBP 2026 pathway:
