The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia and the Turkish international humanitarian organisation 4TDK are strengthening their synergy to optimise the distribution of long-term aid programmes for the people of Palestine. Baznas official Idy Muzayyad expressed deep concern and empathy, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to praying for the safety of Palestinians, particularly those enduring hardship in Gaza. “We certainly feel concerned, empathetic, and continue to pray for the best for the Palestinian people, especially those who remain and will continue to persevere in Gaza,” he stated in Jakarta on Tuesday. The global collaboration aims to ensure that donations from the Indonesian public, channelled through Baznas, are distributed effectively and have a broad impact. Beyond consumptive aid, the partnership will establish scholarship programmes enabling Palestinians to study at cooperating Indonesian universities. Director in Egypt for 4TDK, Yacoub Alghandour, expressed appreciation for the consistent solidarity shown by Indonesians towards Palestine, hoping the joint humanitarian programmes can continue sustainably until conditions in Palestine improve.
