BAZNAS and LinkAja Syariah Launch Digital Zakat Calculator and Menu
The National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of the Republic of Indonesia, together with LinkAja Syariah, launched the Zakat Calculator feature and BAZNAS menu on the LinkAja Syariah application at the BAZNAS RI building in Jakarta on Thursday, 30 July 2026. The collaboration marks a concrete step towards making it easier for the public to calculate and fulfil zakat, infak and sedekah (ZIS) in a practical, secure and sharia-compliant manner through a single digital platform.
Through the Zakat Calculator feature, users can calculate their zakat obligations more accurately based on the type of zakat selected. Meanwhile, the BAZNAS menu allows the public to channel zakat, infak or sedekah directly to BAZNAS without having to switch applications.
The Chairman of BAZNAS RI, Sodik Mudjahid, said that digital transformation is one of the key strategies to broaden public access in fulfilling zakat whilst optimising the potential of national ZIS collection.
“With the technological support of LinkAja Syariah, we hope that more people will be able to pay zakat, infak and sedekah correctly, so that the potential of national ZIS can be optimised to improve the welfare of the ummah,” he said.
The President Director of PT Fintek Karya Nusantara (LinkAja), Yogi Rizkian Bahar, said the collaboration aligns with LinkAja Syariah’s commitment as Indonesia’s only sharia digital payment service provider to continue innovating in order to strengthen the national sharia financial ecosystem.
“We present the integration of the Zakat Calculator and the BAZNAS menu so that the public can calculate and pay zakat, infak and sedekah more practically within one application. We hope this collaboration will further broaden public access to sharia financial services whilst encouraging an increase in the collection of religious social funds to provide wider benefits for the ummah,” he said.
The collaboration strengthens the role of digital technology in supporting the management of religious social funds in a more inclusive, transparent and accountable manner. For LinkAja Syariah, the partnership is also part of ongoing efforts to expand digital sharia financial services relevant to the needs of the Indonesian people.
How to access the Zakat Calculator feature:
Open the LinkAja app and activate the LinkAja Syariah service.
Select the More menu.
Go to the Social Funds category.
Select Zakat Calculator.
Choose the type of zakat (Income Zakat or Zakat Maal).
Enter the required data.
Proceed to payment.
How to access the BAZNAS menu:
Open the LinkAja app and activate the LinkAja Syariah service.
Select the More menu.
Go to the Social Funds category.
Select BAZNAS.
Choose the desired zakat, infak or sedekah programme.
Enter the donation amount.
Proceed to payment.
Through this collaboration, BAZNAS and LinkAja Syariah hope that more people will take advantage of digital services to fulfil zakat, infak and sedekah with greater ease, so that national ZIS collection can continue to increase and provide wider benefits for the welfare of the ummah.
