A significant leap in investment realisation in Batu City in 2025 has drawn attention. Batu Mayor Nurochman assured that the local government is now providing a more certain and uncomplicated system for investors.

The Rp1.2 trillion investment target set for 2025 has been surpassed by around 200 per cent. This figure demonstrates the high level of trust from the business world in Batu City as an investment destination.

“The 2025 investment achievement has proven that Batu City is increasingly trusted by investors. The set target has even been exceeded by double,” said the Mayor, familiarly known as Cak Nur, on Sunday (12/4/2026).

He emphasised that the Batu City Government continues to strive to create a healthy business climate through the simplification of licensing processes and the enhancement of regulatory certainty. All regional apparatus work units have been instructed not to hinder investment inflows.

“Investment requires certainty, both in terms of time, costs, and requirements. These things must be clear and not complicated,” he stressed.

Furthermore, he assured that every investment plan that complies with land use designations will be processed without unnecessary obstacles. Administrative processes are required to run quickly and transparently.

“If the land use is already appropriate, go ahead and process it. Complete the administration and meet the requirements. The important thing is certainty,” he continued.

He also acknowledged evaluations from the past, where licensing processes had once been a complaint from investors due to taking a long time. In fact, some had to wait for years.

“In the past, there were stories of investors handling permits for years. That became a note for us. In the future, we ensure such things do not happen again,” he said.
