Batu City Achieves Rp2.4 Trillion Investment Realisation; Entrepreneur Hub Finance 2026 Strengthens MSME Financing Access
Batu – The investment climate in Batu City is showing positive momentum. This is reflected in the realised investment achievement throughout 2025, which exceeded targets by more than double.
This momentum was further strengthened with the organisation of the Entrepreneur Hub Finance 2026 event, which brought together business operators with access to financing.
The Batu City Government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, organised the event at Graha Pancasila City Hall Among Tani. More than 100 curated entrepreneurs and MSME operators participated in the forum to expand their access to financing whilst strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region.
Batu City Mayor Nurochman, who opened the event, expressed appreciation for the central government’s confidence in selecting Batu City as the venue for the activity. “This confidence is inseparable from the development of the business and investment ecosystem in Batu City, which continues to demonstrate positive performance. The realised investment in Batu City throughout 2025 reached approximately Rp2.4 trillion, equivalent to 218 per cent of the target set at Rp1.2 trillion,” he said on Wednesday (11/3/2026).
According to him, this achievement is an indicator of increasing investor confidence in economic stability and regional development governance.
“Thank you for the renewed commitment given to Batu City as the first city hosting Entrepreneur Hub Finance. This confidence stems from the performance of the regional business and investment ecosystem, which in 2025 was able to realise investment of approximately Rp2.4 trillion, achieving 218 per cent of the target,” he stated.
He also reminded business operators not to hesitate in reporting to the government if they encounter obstacles in the financing process that are deemed inconsistent with regulations.
“This collaboration is also part of efforts to support the target of increasing the national entrepreneurship ratio, which is targeted to reach 3.6 per cent by 2029,” he added.
Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy for Entrepreneur Financing Expansion at the Ministry of MSME RI, Ginda P. Siregar, explained that the event is part of the government’s commitment to expand access to financing for MSME operators in various regions.
According to her, East Java, including Batu City, has great potential in developing national entrepreneurship. Besides Surabaya, Batu City is also an area with very good MSME quality.
“In fact, several business operators in Batu City have already received Intellectual Property Rights guidance through government programmes. Batu City consistently ranks as one of the pioneers in MSME development in East Java and at the national level,” she said.
Subsequently, Director of Supervision of Conduct of Financial Services Operators, Education, and Consumer Protection as well as Strategic Management Services of the Financial Services Authority East Java Province, Horas V. M. Tarihoran, reminded business operators to be more careful in selecting financing products and financial services.
“In essence, caution is important so that business operators are not trapped in risky financial services that actually hinder business development. Through this activity, we hope the synergy between government, financial institutions, and business operators becomes stronger in opening access to financing,” he said.
