BATIC 2026 Opens a New Chapter in Asia Pacific Digital Transformation
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Telin, the international business arm of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), is once again hosting the Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) 2026 from 24-28 August 2026 at the Bali International Convention Centre (BICC), The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Now in its 11th year, BATIC 2026 carries the theme ‘Uniting Ecosystem to Drive Connected Progress’ and brings together more than 2,700 delegates from 760 companies across over 67 countries to discuss developments in AI, global connectivity, cloud, and digital infrastructure, while opening opportunities for cross-industry synergy on a global scale.
Amid the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors, the need for reliable digital infrastructure, global connectivity, and cross-border collaboration continues to grow. These developments are driving industry players to build increasingly integrated digital infrastructure and services to meet digital transformation needs while supporting inclusive and sustainable digital economic growth in the Asia Pacific region.
As the digital industry landscape evolves, BATIC is no longer merely a forum for the telecommunications industry. The conference has evolved into a strategic platform that brings together regulators, telecommunications operators, technology providers, hyperscalers, investors, and digital industry players from various countries to exchange insights, strengthen partnerships, and drive the formation of a digital transformation foundation in the Asia Pacific region.
BATIC serves as a platform to bring together diverse perspectives and capabilities to create more inclusive and sustainable digital growth opportunities. During the BATIC 2026 press conference held on Tuesday (25/8), Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini emphasised that collaboration is the primary foundation for capturing opportunities and building an increasingly connected digital economy future.
‘TelkomGroup has a strategic role in strengthening Indonesia’s position as one of the centres of digital economic growth in Asia Pacific. BATIC is a proud event for TelkomGroup and continues to grow each year with themes relevant to the industry. Amid the rapid investment in AI and digital in the Asia Pacific region, Indonesia has extraordinary potential as one of the most prospective digital markets. This potential needs to be translated through strengthening infrastructure, innovation, and a capable digital ecosystem. BATIC 2026 is present as a collaboration stage to jointly build that ecosystem and create greater value, not only for Indonesia but also for the region and the world,’ said Dian on Tuesday (25/8/2026).
Dian further added that Telin, as TelkomGroup’s strength on the international stage, continues to play a role in connecting Indonesia with the global digital ecosystem through synergy between industry players, government, and strategic partners as an important factor in accelerating innovation and strengthening competitiveness.
Meanwhile, Telkom Director of Wholesale & International Service Budi Satria Dharma Purba highlighted the strategic role of international connectivity infrastructure, particularly submarine cables, in anticipating the surge in bandwidth demand driven by AI adoption and data centre needs. According to him, the BATIC momentum is an opportunity for TelkomGroup and all delegates to expand business networks, match industry needs with available capabilities, and encourage the birth of new innovations capable of answering the industry’s evolving needs.
‘Through strengthening submarine cables and cross-border connectivity coverage, TelkomGroup is committed to building the digital foundation of the future. Telin is currently growing stronger as one of the digital infrastructure players at the regional and global level, particularly through its international submarine cable business which continues to grow significantly. It is hoped that through BATIC, participating global players will become increasingly confident that TelkomGroup is the right partner for digital development and the broadest possible collaboration, especially in the regional area. This activity is also a manifestation of Telkom’s commitment to focus on playing in the B2B business segment, where Telin itself is Telkom’s extension to work on B2B business and become a service provider for international customers,’ Budi added.
As one of the main breakthroughs this year, BATIC presents ignitePRO, an executive conference specifically discussing enterprise transformation in the era of Autonomous AI. ignitePRO 2026 carries the theme ‘The Enabled Enterprise’, intended for business and technology leaders to explore the implementation of AI, cloud, cybersecurity, governance, and digital infrastructure that form the foundation for organisations in accelerating AI adoption at enterprise scale. Together with the main BATIC conference series addressing submarine connectivity, AI-based communications, cloud innovation, and digital ecosystem development, ignitePRO is expected to become a collaboration space for stakeholders to accelerate digital transformation in the region.
On the same occasion, Telin Chief Executive Officer Abdul Rahman Ansyori stated that the holding of BATIC, now in its 11th year, is part of Telin’s long journey in building an international collaboration platform that continues to evolve following the dynamics of the digital industry.
‘BATIC has consistently transformed into the most influential regional collaboration platform, both in terms of organisation and the themes and ecosystems involved. This year, through the presence of ignitePRO, we want to facilitate enterprise needs for Autonomous AI adoption and trusted digital systems (trust & security). We are optimistic that BATIC 2026 can drive collaboration.’
