Batavia Air plane skids on runway

JAKARTA: A Batavia Air plane traveling from Jambi to Jakarta skidded on the southern runway of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Saturday at about 12 noon.

No casualties nor fatalities were reported during the incident.

"Right after the incident, the plane was taken to a hangar," the officer in charge at the airport, Aidil, was quoted as saying by Antara.

He added that the plane skidded after it had landed, so that no major dangers had been posed.--JP
