Batang SEZ job fair draws 3,500 job seekers for 1,000 openings
Operation and Technology Director Nurjaman said on Sunday in Batang that the integrated industrial city was designed not only as a hub for investment but also as a space for collaboration with the local community.
“Through TENANT FESTA #2, we hope residents will seize the avenues presented to seek opportunities, learn, and grow as the Industropolis Batang SEZ develops,” he pointed out.
He explained that TENANT FESTA #2 featured a job fair promoting more than 1,000 openings from 12 companies operating within the zone. Moreover, the event also served as a festival promoting community empowerment, sports, and traditions.
Regarding the job fair, Nurjaman noted it as Industropolis Batang’s effort to help increase employment by connecting local job seekers with the manpower needs of industries.
He highlighted the diverse backgrounds of the 12 participating companies, which operate in sectors including manufacturing, footwear, textiles, garments, food processing, logistics, health equipment, and electric vehicle batteries.
These companies included PT Bowron Footwear Industry, PT Yih Quan Footwear Indonesia, PT Trax Sumbiri Indo, PT Window Shutter Indonesia, PT Sampoerna Kayoe, PT Hormel Pronas Nusantara, PT Simba Indosnack Makmur, and Industropolis Logistik.
Also participating were PT Youmi Medika Industri, PT JJD Outdoor Products Indonesia, PT Satyamitra Safepower International, and LBM New Energy.
Underlining inclusiveness, Nurjaman said that fresh graduates were welcome to apply for some openings in the job fair, which was held in collaboration with the Batang Manpower Office.
“This collaboration is expected to expand public access to job opportunities and boost local workforce absorption as industrial activities in the Industropolis Batang SEZ thrive,” he added.
