The Batang Integrated Industrial Zone (KIT Batang) has officially been designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN). This designation was confirmed during a visit by BKPM Head Bahlil Lahadalia to the project site in Batang Regency, Central Java.

The project, involving a consortium of investors, aims to develop an integrated industrial area focused on sectors such as petrochemicals, energy, and supporting industries. Its PSN status will facilitate faster permitting, land acquisition, and coordination among government agencies to ensure timely completion.

Batang Regent Wihaji expressed optimism that the project will create thousands of jobs and stimulate economic growth in the region. Bahlil Lahadalia emphasised the government’s support for such initiatives to enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness in global manufacturing.

This development aligns with the national agenda to distribute economic growth beyond Java’s major cities and strengthen industrial clusters in strategic locations.
