PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB), the operator of Hang Nadim International Airport, has confirmed that international flights on the Batam, Riau Islands to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the return route, are still operating normally and on schedule. Chief Executive Officer of PT Bandara Internasional Batam, Annang Setia Budhi, said they are continuously monitoring developments in the Middle East, which is currently attracting global attention. “We are continuing to monitor intensively the developments in the Middle East and are actively coordinating with the airlines and related entities,” he said in an official statement received in Batam on Friday, 6 March 2026. The flights have a frequency of twice per week, with arrivals on Wednesdays and departures on Saturdays. In addition to the Jeddah route, several other international flights from Hang Nadim Airport remain in operation, including services to Incheon, South Korea, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He added that to date there have been no cancellations or significant changes to flight schedules due to the developing situation in the Middle East. According to Annang, the airport prioritises safety, security, and the comfort of all airport users, especially pilgrims who will or are undertaking the umrah pilgrimage.
