Batam Prime Travel introduces a travel hub that combines luggage storage and transport arrangements at Batam Center Port, Batam City. The facility is located on the first floor of the port’s arrivals area, just to the right after the international arrivals gate. The service allows travellers to deposit their baggage while organising transport without having to leave the port area. Batam Prime Travel’s Chief Executive, Saleh A. Sagran, said the facility was developed after they studied the travel patterns of visitors arriving in Batam. ‘We understand that a tourist’s first impression greatly influences their comfort during their holiday. For some time, many guests have felt burdened by their luggage on arrival, while hotel check-in times are still several hours away. With this travel hub, we aim to provide an instant solution: deposit your suitcase safely, then explore Batam with your hands free and a content heart,’ Sagran said in a statement on Saturday (7 March 2026). The Central Statistics Agency notes Batam is one of Indonesia’s largest gateways for foreign tourists, with more than one million visits per year. Some visitors come for short trips and arrive in the morning when hotel check-in is generally still a few hours away. One user of the service, Dinda, said the luggage storage facility makes it easier for travellers who want to be active immediately after arriving in Batam. ‘This is truly a game changer for me, as I often do day trips to Batam. I arrived at 9am and immediately deposited my luggage here because I didn’t want to carry it to a mall and dining spots. The process is fast, the location is right before your eyes after you exit the immigration gates, and the staff are very helpful. So I can continue my city tour without hassle,’ Dinda said. In addition to luggage storage, Batam Prime Travel also offers transport services such as car hire with a driver, hotel transfers, and Batam city tours at a single service location. Batam Prime Travel’s management says the travel hub is designed to make it easier for travellers to arrange their travel needs from the moment they arrive at the port. The facility is on the first floor of Batam Center Port and can be accessed directly by travellers arriving via the international arrivals channel.
