Batam (ANTARA) — Batam’s Customs and Excise Main Service Office (KPU BC Batam) in the Riau Islands is providing priority services to 76 exporters and importers that meet customs compliance parameters through its Excellence Partners in Customs 100 (EPIC 100) programme.

Batam Customs chief Agung Widodo said the programme makes services easier for businesses with high compliance levels, as assessed against measurable criteria.

“EPIC 100 is a programme for importers and exporters with a high level of compliance with customs regulations,” Agung said in Batam on Thursday.

He explained that participants are selected following an assessment based on four parameters: compliance with administrative sanctions, no violations during the six-month assessment period, a valid business licence, and compliance with quota requirements.

The measurable criteria are intended to make the assessment more objective and applicable to all businesses in the export and import sectors.

“Of around 1,500 companies engaged in export and import activities in Batam in 2026, 76 currently meet the criteria,” he said.

Agung said the group of companies makes a significant contribution to customs activity.
