Batam City Government and APINDO Agree on Local Labour Priorities

The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) is encouraging the economic ecosystem in Batam City, Riau Islands, to support national economic growth by identifying strategic sectors within the region.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Arya Bima, stated that the signing of a joint agreement between the Batam City Government and the local Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) is an appropriate collaborative step. He noted that this partnership can create jobs, thereby helping to mitigate socio-economic impacts.
