Basuki Reveals Latest Progress on MPR-DPR Building Project in Nusantara
Head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono has shared the latest updates on the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) project. According to Basuki, the IKN project is continuing to progress.
“We ensure that Nusantara keeps progressing. Spirited,” Basuki stated, as quoted from his personal Instagram account on Sunday (14/6/2026).
Currently, the projects being accelerated at IKN are the Legislative and Judicial zones. Basuki noted that in the Legislative zone, construction includes the Plenary Session Building, the MPR Building, the DPR Building, and the DPD Building, along with their access roads.
Meanwhile, the Judicial zone encompasses the Supreme Court Building, the Constitutional Court Building, and the Judicial Commission Building, complete with supporting road access.
“The construction continues to show tangible progress. This is a collective endeavour to strengthen the foundations of governance in Nusantara, a city we are building to be modern, inclusive, and sustainable,” he elaborated.
In another post, Basuki revealed that other IKN developments being accelerated include the SM 02 Retention Pond, the EC 08 Embung, the Row 44-1C Judicial Road, and the TR 01 Retention Pond. For him, the development of IKN must proceed with technical precision as well as sensitivity to architectural aesthetics. Bridges, landscapes, and buildings are not merely structures, but the face of a civilisation that will be bequeathed to future generations.
“This is where the public servants of the future are forged, not only to build a capital city, but to build Indonesia,” Basuki remarked.
