The Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN), Basuki Hadimuljono, has outlined the authority’s priority programmes for the 2025-2029 period. Basuki stated that the construction of legislative and judicial buildings will be intensified.

“There are several indicators in Presidential Regulation 117 of 2025, and the targets outlined in the IKN Authority’s Strategic Plan for 2025-2029 include, first, the target area for the core government centre and its surroundings to be developed at 850 to 1,100 hectares. The KIPP itself is 6,600 hectares,” Basuki said at the beginning of his presentation on Monday (30/3/2026).

Basuki mentioned that the target for relocating civil servants (ASN) to IKN is 4,100 people. The authority also aims to attract private investment to IKN worth Rp70 trillion.

“Second, the target number of ASN relocations to IKN is 1,700 to 4,100 ASN. The value of private sector investment in IKN is Rp70 trillion,” he stated.

Basuki conveyed several priority programmes for the 2025-2029 period. One of them relates to the construction of legislative and judicial buildings, as well as supporting facilities.

“Respected gentlemen, the priority activities for 2026 of the IKN Authority as listed in the 2025-2029 strategic plan to support the development of the Nusantara capital encompass two priority activities,” Basuki said.

In addition to the construction of legislative buildings, vertical housing in IKN will also be accelerated. The authority emphasises the implementation of an intelligent governance system in IKN.

“That is, planning for area development and ASN development, including spatial planning and construction of legislative and judicial office buildings, and supporting infrastructure facilities, construction of vertical housing, as well as development of accessibility and connectivity, including ASN development to IKN and the implementation of an intelligent governance system or smart city,” he added.
