Basofi on Ramadhan safari

SURABAYA, East Java: East Java Governor Basofi Soedirman said
yesterday that he will be traveling round the province throughout
the fasting month of Ramadhan, Antara reported.

Basofi said he will try to cover as much area as possible but
pointed out that not every regency will be visited. "There are 29
fasting days and 37 regencies to cover," he said.

During the tour, he will be breaking the fast with local
officials, military leaders, ulemas and public figures.

He is also expected to give sermons, one of his renowned
skills.

On Feb. 10, he is scheduled to give a sermon in Surabaya and
have the predawn meal with top administration officials and
