Basoetta Train-Truck Collision at Poris-Batu Ceper Causes Widespread Service Cancellations

A truck was struck by commuter line train KA 806A, which was heading to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, at a level crossing between Poris and Batu Ceper stations. Numerous train services were subsequently cancelled.

“There has been an operational disruption on KA 806A, the Airport Commuter Line, between Poris and Batu Ceper stations as a result of a truck being struck. The situation is currently being handled by officers,” read a statement from KAI Commuter on its X account, seen on Friday (20 February 2026).

KAI Commuter said the incident had disrupted train services, with some journeys being cancelled outright.

“For the time being, train services are awaiting safe conditions before resuming operations. We apologise for any delays and thank you for your understanding and patience,” the statement said.

KAI Commuter explained that as a consequence of the incident, Commuter Line services on the Duri–Tangerang route were temporarily operating only as far as Rawa Buaya Station. Additionally, departures from Tangerang Station were temporarily cancelled.

Services on the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train line were also temporarily cancelled.

KAI implemented service rerouting for a number of commuter trains as a result of the incident. The affected services were as follows:

  • KA 1912A (Duri–Tangerang): Service operated only to Rawa Buaya Station, returning as KA 1921A (Rawa Buaya–Duri).
  • KA 1914A (Duri–Tangerang): Service operated only to Rawa Buaya Station, returning as KA 1923A (Rawa Buaya–Duri).
  • KA 1922A (Duri–Tangerang): Service operated only to Rawa Buaya Station, returning as KA 1931A (Rawa Buaya–Duri).
  • KA 803A (Soekarno-Hatta–Duri): Service operated only to Batu Ceper Station, returning as KA 818A (Batu Ceper–Soekarno-Hatta).
  • KA 810A (Duri–Soekarno-Hatta): Service cancelled.
  • KA 811A (Soekarno-Hatta–Duri): Service cancelled.
  • KA 804A (Duri–Manggarai): Service cancelled.
  • KA 817A (Manggarai–Duri): Service cancelled.
  • KA 1924A (Duri–Tangerang): Service operated only to Rawa Buaya Station, returning as KA 1933A (Rawa Buaya–Duri).
  • KA 819A (Soekarno-Hatta–Duri): Service operated only to Batu Ceper Station, returning as KA 834A (Batu Ceper–Soekarno-Hatta).
  • KA 820A (Duri–Manggarai): Service cancelled.
  • KA 833A (Manggarai–Duri): Service cancelled.
  • KA 1932A (Duri–Tangerang): Service operated only to Rawa Buaya Station, returning as KA 1941A (Rawa Buaya–Duri).
  • KA 1934A (Duri–Tangerang): Service operated only to Rawa Buaya Station, returning as KA 1943A (Rawa Buaya–Duri).
  • KA 1917A (Tangerang–Duri): Service cancelled.
  • KA 1918A (Duri–Tangerang): Service cancelled.
  • KA 1925A (Tangerang–Duri): Service cancelled.
  • KA 1926A (Duri–Tangerang): Service cancelled.

Passengers Eligible for Refunds

As a result of the incident, KAI Commuter also invited affected passengers to apply for refunds. KAI confirmed that refunded fares would be returned in full at 100 per cent.

“We wish to inform Soekarno-Hatta Commuter Line users who already hold travel tickets that they may apply for a refund with a 100 per cent reimbursement at Soekarno-Hatta Commuter Line stopping stations,” the statement read.
