Director of Operations at Basarnas, Bramantyo, reported that as of the third day, Monday, 17 August 2026 at 23.30, the total number of victims in the earthquake disaster in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province had reached 202 people.

“It was recorded that 70 people died, 132 people were injured, with 40 seriously injured and 92 lightly injured,” said Bramantyo in a press teleconference on Tuesday, 18 August 2026.

He also expressed his condolences for the victims who died.

“We would like to express our condolences for the earthquake disaster experienced by our brothers and sisters in East Nusa Tenggara,” he said.

Bramantyo added that as of the fourth day, Tuesday morning, 18 August 2026, his team was still continuing to sweep the affected areas.

This is still being carried out by Basarnas, even though data from the victims indicates that no one is still searching for missing relatives.

“Based on reports, input and data from the victims, there are no longer any relatives, neighbours or colleagues who are recorded as still being searched for,” said Bramantyo.

Accordingly, he said that the SAR teams in the field are now focused only on assisting with sweeping and supporting the search and recovery activities being carried out by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

Bramantyo added that after accompanying the Minister of Home Affairs and the Head of Basarnas in reviewing affected locations over the past two days, his team has received a number of inputs from affected residents in several areas such as Manggarai and Lamba Leda District.

These relate to several health service issues, particularly in a number of affected areas that remain difficult to reach, such as Lamba Leda District.

Therefore, Bramantyo said that his team has also helped to strengthen health teams so that they can reach a number of areas that are still struggling to obtain health services.

“After accompanying the Minister of Home Affairs and the Head of Basarnas two days ago, and receiving several inputs from affected residents in several areas, particularly in Manggarai and Lamba Leda District, regarding several health problems,” said Bramantyo.
