JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri has uncovered the practice of producing and distributing illegal pharmaceutical preparations in the form of nitrous oxide (N2O) gas under the brand “Whip Pink” at three locations in Jakarta.

Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that in this operation, police arrested nine people and seized thousands of gas canisters ready for distribution.

“The disclosure of this health-related criminal case involving the production and distribution of N2O gas pharmaceutical preparation branded Whip Pink complies with Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health, carried out by Subdit III Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri,” said Eko in his statement on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

On the night of 13 April 2026, police discovered a warehouse location in the Kemayoran area, Central Jakarta, and arrested a warehouse guard and goods dispatcher with initials S, along with dozens of gas canisters of various sizes.

Further investigation led to a sales administrator in the Pulo Gadung area, East Jakarta.

Police secured a woman with initials E who acted as the administrator as well as part of the accounting team.

Examination results revealed that the production and distribution of Whippink was carried out in an organised manner with a network of warehouses in various cities in Indonesia.

Records show there are 16 warehouses spread across 10 cities, including Jakarta, Bandung, Makassar, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Balikpapan, Surabaya, Medan, Bali, and Lombok.

One of the suspects admitted that production could reach 150 to 170 canisters per day in various sizes and flavours, such as banana, mango, and watermelon.

Police confirmed that the Whippink product being distributed lacks official permits, including distribution permits from the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM).

“PT Suplaindo Sukses Sejahtera does not yet have legal status or BPOM distribution permits related to the production and sale of N2O gas branded Whip Pink,” said Eko.

In addition, investigators also uncovered that the business operations are allegedly controlled by several parties, including individuals with initials A, S, and J, with a field coordinator with initials S.
