Bareskrim to summon influencer after viral consumption of 'Whip Pink'

JAKARTA — Investigators from the Narcotics Crime Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim) will summon a social media influencer identified by the initials ZNM after his act of consuming nitrous oxide (N2O) gas branded ‘Whip Pink’, which went viral on social media.

The Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, said the summons would be issued after investigators questioned a witness from PT Suplaindo Sukses Sejahtera, analysed sales documents, and conducted digital-forensic examinations of the mobile phones of sales staff.

The senior police officer said the examination of ZNM would take place on Friday (22 May 2026).

Not only ZNM, investigators would also summon several other witnesses who are also consumers of the nitrous oxide gas brand ‘Whip Pink’.

‘One of these consumers is suspected of having purchased hundreds of times, so he needs to be questioned regarding the purchasing pattern,’ Eko said.
