Bareskrim Removes Police Lines and CCTV Related to Drugs at New Star Bali
Investigators from the Directorate of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri have removed police lines and CCTV equipment related to alleged drug trafficking at the New Star nightclub in Bali. The removal was carried out as the case has been transferred to the public prosecutor’s office.
The police lines and CCTV were removed by an investigative team from Sub-Directorate IV of the Narcotics Crime Directorate, Bareskrim Polri, led by Sub-Directorate Head Senior Superintendent Handik Zusen and Unit III Head Police Commissioner Reza Fahlevi, on Tuesday (14/7).
“The process of opening the police line points and removing the CCTV at New Star Club Bali was carried out because the case has now been transferred to the public prosecutor (JPU),” said the Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, in a statement on Thursday (16/7/2026).
The activity was also witnessed by the suspects’ legal counsel, Natasyah Amelia, SH. In this case, three individuals have been named as suspects: Mohamad Rokip (27), a room captain; I Gusti Bagus Adi Pramana (41), a waiter; and I Wayan Subawa (27), the manager of New Star Club.
A total of 13 police line points were removed by Bareskrim, including the main gate, room B5, room B6, room A 3b, room B 3b, room A2, room A1, the entrance to the room area, the back door, the lobby hall ticket door, the hall entrance, the warehouse door, the office entrance, and the manager’s room.
Additionally, Bareskrim removed seven CCTV points at New Star Club. The CCTV had previously been installed for police monitoring following the discovery of drug trafficking at the nightclub.
Previously, Bareskrim investigators handed over the three suspects in the New Star Club drug trafficking case in Bali on Monday (13/7). The phase two handover of the three suspects (Moh. Rokip, I Gusti Adi Pramana, and I Wayan Subana) was conducted after the case files were declared complete.
Police also handed over evidence in this case to the prosecutors. From suspect Rokip, investigators submitted evidence including one motorcycle, two mobile phones, cash amounting to Rp 19,300,000, and the destruction record for 639 ecstasy pills. From the other two suspects, investigators handed over four mobile phones to the prosecutors. The case will soon be tried at the Denpasar District Court, Bali.
The case came to light in March 2026 when police uncovered ecstasy distribution at a club in Denpasar, Bali. During the operation, police arrested three people and seized hundreds of ecstasy pills. The investigation began with a tip-off from the public regarding drug trafficking activities that had been ongoing for quite some time at a club in Denpasar.
Based on this information, a joint team led by Sub-Directorate IV Head Senior Superintendent Handik Zusen and the NIC Task Force led by Senior Superintendent Kevin Leleury tracked the illegal practice. In the early hours of Sunday (15/3), the team conducted an undercover buy by ordering 12 ecstasy pills from a waiter. The goods were then passed to the room captain, Muhammad Rokip (27), who was immediately arrested inside the room. Police found 38 pink ‘LV’ brand ecstasy pills on Rokip and another 600 ecstasy pills under his motorcycle seat.
The investigation continued to waiter I Gusti Bagus Adi Pramana (41), who had received the narcotics order. Interrogation revealed that the narcotics were obtained from the New Star Club Manager, I Wayan Subawa (27).
The three individuals named as suspects in this case are Muhammad Rokip, I Wayan Subawa, and I Gusti Bagus Adi Pramana. Police have also named six people as fugitives: Opik, Fernandi, Nadir, Andika, Anta, and I Dewa Ketut Wiranida. During the operation, police seized 638 ecstasy pills of various brands and colours, Rp 19.3 million in cash from a karaoke room and Rp 170,000 from the parking area, along with several mobile phones, wallets, motorcycle keys, vehicle registration documents, and ATM cards.
