Bareskrim raids palm oil exporter’s office over alleged export data manipulation
JAKARTA – Bareskrim’s Special Crime Directorate (Dittipidter) has raided the office of palm oil exporter PT MMS in Pademangan, North Jakarta, over alleged manipulation of palm oil export data or under-invoicing practices.
Searches were also conducted at the company’s warehouse in the Laksana industrial area, Pakuhaji, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on May 29, 2026.
‘We are still examining and investigating the documents found during the raids to uncover any alleged criminal acts,’ said Senior Police Commissioner Setyo K. Heriyatno of Dittipidter Bareskrim in a statement on Saturday (May 30, 2026).
Seized evidence included company documents, invoices, Export Notification (PEB) forms, and several computer central processing units (CPUs).
Investigators suspect that export data was manipulated to reduce the declared value of palm oil exports.
The under-invoicing practice is allegedly used to report lower transaction values than the actual ones.
This could result in revenue losses for the country from export earnings.
The case has now moved to the investigation stage after detectives found evidence of suspected criminal activity during their initial inquiry and evidence gathering.
Bareskrim has vowed to continue cracking down on violations in the trade and export of strategic national commodities.
Police believe that export data manipulation and under-invoicing of crude palm oil (CPO) can harm the country and disrupt Indonesia’s export trade management.
Previously, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has begun questioning individuals from companies and ministries over suspected manipulation of crude palm oil (CPO) export prices through transfer pricing and under-invoicing practices.
Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office’s Legal Information Center, Mochamad Jeffry, said the investigation is currently being handled by the Special Criminal Prosecution Unit (Jampidsus).
‘We are currently questioning both company and ministry officials,’ Jeffry said when contacted on Friday (May 29, 2026).
