Bareskrim Polri to Question Pandji Pragiwaksono Again on Monday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Bareskrim Polri will again question comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono on Monday (9 March) in the investigation of a case of alleged insult to the Toraja ethnic group via electronic media. “Next week, Monday (9 March),” said Head of Subdirectorate I of Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Pol. Rizki Agung Prakoso, in Jakarta on Friday. He said Pandji will begin the questioning around 10:00 WIB. This summons will be the second interrogation. On February 2, 2026, Pandji was questioned as a witness for the first time in the case. The comedian said he was grilled with 48 questions by investigators regarding the content of the video when he performed at a stand-up show (solo comedy). Although he had previously apologised, he said he would continue to follow the lawful process at the police. It is known that the Toraja Youth Alliance reported Pandji Pragiwaksono to the Bareskrim Polri for alleged insult and words bearing SARA towards the Toraja community in November 2025. The alliance said the material from Pandji’s stand-up show relating to the Toraja funeral ceremony had demeaned and insulted the tribe’s dignity. Several witnesses and experts, including Pandji’s YouTube administrator, had been questioned by investigators. Then, in February 2026, Pandji carried out Toraja customary sanctions.
