Bareskrim Interrogates 40 Foreign Nationals Suspected in Hayam Wuruk Judol Headquarters Case

The Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) of Bareskrim Polri is questioning 40 foreign nationals who are suspects in the case of an online gambling headquarters on Jalan Hayam Wuruk, West Jakarta. The head of Sub‑Directorate III of Dittipidum Bareskrim Polri, Police Commissioner Dony Alexander, said the questioning is being conducted in stages. ‘Yes, we are taking them in; they are still undergoing questioning as suspects and the investigation’s development is ongoing. Today 40 (suspects),’ he told reporters at Bareskrim Polri, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. He explained that the questioning focuses on probing the roles of each suspect within the online gambling network. He said the questioning of other suspects would continue tomorrow. ‘Not all at once; we are taking them in batches of 40, 40. Tomorrow another 40,’ he added. The investigations are being carried out with the assistance of interpreters, and the suspects are also accompanied by lawyers. “Then with the combined strength of investigators and interpreters we were able to take 40 people for additional BAPs as suspects. Because initially we had already BAP’ed them, and as they were supported by lawyers and legal representatives we carried this out today,” he said. After the examinations, the suspects were returned to the temporary detention facility at Rudenim. Dony did not outline the exact roles of the suspects. Of those we secured, the number reached 321 people,’ Wira told reporters at the scene on Saturday (9 May). Wira also revealed that the foreign nationals entered Indonesia using tourist visas, and that their visas had expired.
