The Directorate of Cybercrime at Bareskrim Polri has carried out Phase II of handling the online gambling (judol) case, involving evidence (barbuk) valued at Rp 55 billion. Five suspects, along with the evidence, were handed over by Bareskrim to the Public Prosecutors (JPU) at the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office.

The handover of the five suspects and Rp 55 billion in evidence today signifies that the case file has been declared complete (P21) and is ready to proceed to the prosecution stage in court. In the process, JPU Murari Azis officially received the suspects and evidence from the investigators.

Kasubdit 1 of Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Rizki Prakoso, explained that this Phase II is an important part of the law enforcement chain against the online gambling practices that were previously uncovered.

“The implementation of Phase II shows that the investigation process has proceeded professionally and has been declared complete. Next, the handling of the case becomes the authority of the Public Prosecutors to bring it to trial,” said Kombes Rizki in his statement on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

In the handover, Polri investigators also submitted various pieces of evidence, including cash suspected to originate from judol activities, valued at around Rp 55 billion. This value reflects the scale of the gambling network successfully dismantled by Polri.

Meanwhile, JPU Murari Azis stated that his side has received all the suspects and evidence and is ready to continue the legal process to the next stage.

“We have received the handover of the suspects and evidence from the investigators. Next, we will study it thoroughly and immediately hand over this case to the court for prosecution,” said Murari.

Now, all suspects are under the responsibility of the JPU for further legal proceedings at the South Jakarta District Court. This case relates to alleged gambling offences as regulated under applicable Indonesian laws.

Kombes Rizki emphasised that his side will continue to coordinate with the prosecutor’s office to ensure the smooth running of the legal process up to the trial stage. He stressed that this step is a form of Polri’s commitment to eradicating judol practices firmly and sustainably.

“Bareskrim Polri is committed to cracking down firmly on all forms of cybercrime, including online gambling, and ensuring that the entire legal process runs transparently, accountably, and provides legal certainty,” he asserted.

At present, the trial schedule is still awaiting determination by the court. Meanwhile, Polri investigators assure that they will continue to support the prosecution process by fulfilling the needs required by the prosecutors.
