Bareskrim Exposes Consumers' 'Whip Pink' Gas Purchases via Google Search and Courier Delivery

Jakarta, KOMPAS.com - The Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Police has exposed how consumers purchase “Whip Pink” nitrous oxide (N2O) products online via Google, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The findings were made after investigators examined several consumers in the health-related case involving the “Whip Pink” N2O product. Deputy Director of Sub-Directorate III of Bareskrim’s Narcotics Crime Directorate, Commissioner of Police Zulkarnain Harahap, stated that a witness with the initials CD admitted purchasing the product by searching “whip cream” on Google. “According to CD’s statement, he ordered the product more than five times (640g and 950g sizes) between mid-2025 and early 2026, searching for ‘Whip Cream’ on Google which directed him to the WhatsApp admin,” Zulkarnain said in his statement on Friday (29 May 2026). The product was then delivered by courier, reportedly arriving within an hour of the order being placed. Zulkarnain added that CD admitted purchasing the “Whip Pink” product over five times in 640g and 950g sizes between mid-2025 and early 2026. “The method of use is inhaling through a funnel inserted into the mouth. CD reported experiencing a head-down posture and closing his eyes after inhaling the product,” he said. According to AM, the nitrous oxide gas was sold via balloons before he ordered directly through Instagram social media and was directed to the WhatsApp admin for “Whip Pink”. AM admitted purchasing the product from January to March 2026 for personal use. Investigators are also examining the health effects AM experienced after using the product. According to AM, he temporarily lost control of his limbs, particularly his legs, leading to temporary paralysis and a fall down the stairs before being rushed to a hospital in Tangerang. “This aligns with expert testimony from Indonesia’s Ministry of Health regarding the effects of direct nitrous oxide use without strict medical supervision,” Zulkarnain said. In the ongoing investigation, Bareskrim has summoned five consumers for questioning: RV (29), AM (29), CD (29), APG (21), and ZNM (20). One of them is an Instagram influencer who went viral after posting a video of consuming “Whip Pink” via the @makassar_iinpo account. However, only CD and AM responded to the second summons from investigators. The three other witnesses who failed to appear will be forcibly brought in via a witness summons order.
