The Directorate of Economic and Special Crimes (Dittipideksus) at Bareskrim Polri has detained suspect FH for the next 20 days in connection with an investigation into alleged criminal misconduct in the distribution of funding by PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (PT DSI), which is suspected of causing losses to victims. Brigadier General Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Director of Economic and Special Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, stated that FH is a new suspect identified through the development of the investigation, following the earlier naming of four other suspects: TA, MY, ARL, and AS. “After the examination of suspect FH was conducted, coercive detention was then carried out at the Bareskrim Polri Detention Centre for 20 days, from 19 June to 8 July 2026, for the purpose of the investigation,” Ade Safri said in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday (20/6), citing Antara. FH is the founder and advisor of PT DSI. He has also held several strategic positions, including serving as the former Director of Operations and Information System Facilities at the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2014-2017 period, Director of the Digital Finance Innovation Group at OJK for the 2017-2018 period, and Director of Information Technology and Risk Management at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2018-2022 period. The naming of FH as a suspect was based on investigative facts supported by five valid pieces of evidence. Investigators then summoned FH as a suspect on Friday (19/6) to undergo examination. “The examination of suspect FH began at 11.00 WIB and concluded at approximately 21.00 WIB, during which investigators posed 79 questions to suspect FH, who was accompanied by his legal counsel,” he said. In this case, PT DSI is suspected of distributing public funding using fictitious projects by exploiting existing borrower data or information during the period from 2018 to 2025. Investigators have applied several articles related to embezzlement, fraud, criminal acts in the financial services sector, criminal acts via electronic media, and money laundering. Bareskrim stated it will continue to optimise asset tracing in cooperation with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), OJK, the Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (Korlantas Polri), the National Land Agency (BPN), and other relevant agencies to support the recovery of victims’ losses. “Investigators will also continue to coordinate effectively with the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) regarding the restitution requests submitted by the victims of the PT DSI case to LPSK, and facilitate the victims so that their rights can be fulfilled and accommodated through the restitution mechanism,” Ade Safri added. He noted that the case files for three suspects, namely TA, MY, and ARL, have been declared complete (P21) and were handed over to the public prosecutor on 9 June 2026. Meanwhile, the case files for suspect AS, FH, and the corporate suspect are still being processed simultaneously in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office.
