The Directorate of Drug Crimes at the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) has destroyed 325 kilograms of methamphetamine evidence. The illicit drugs were seized from an international trafficking network operating between Thailand and Indonesia via Aceh. The destruction was carried out by Sub-Directorate IV and the NIC Task Force Team at a facility owned by PT Tenang Jaya Sejahtera in Kutamekar Village, Ciampel District, Karawang, West Java, on Thursday (23/7/2026). The Director of Drug Crimes at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the destruction was conducted after all evidence had received legal approval, underscoring the police’s commitment to eradicating narcotics distribution in the country. The process was witnessed by the suspects, their legal counsel, investigators, and representatives from the Attorney General’s Office, and was secured by the Provost Division. The drugs originated from a case with police report number LP/A/137/VI/2026/SPKT.Dittipidnarkoba/Bareskrim Polri dated 23 June 2026. Two suspects, Zulfahmi (29) and Jufri (28), were arrested in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, on 23 June. Further investigation identified two other individuals, Muhammad Jabbar and Mahlu, as the network’s controllers, and they have been placed on the wanted list.
