Bareskrim designates Resbob and Bigmo as suspects in Azizah Salsha defamation case
Jakarta, Kompas.com - The Cyber Crime Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) has designated two YouTubers, Adimas Firdaus, alias Resbob, and Muhammad Jannah, alias Bigmo, as suspects in a case of alleged defamation filed by Azizah Salsha.
The designation was confirmed by Head of Sub-Directorate I, Dittipidsiber, Bareskrim Polri, Kombes Rizki Agung Prakoso.
‘They are already suspects,’ Rizki told reporters on Thursday, 5 March 2026.
Rizki added that the designation as suspects for the two occurred this week. ‘This week, yes,’ he said.
However, Rizki did not provide further detail regarding plans to summon the two suspects again for questioning as suspects.
Previously, the report lodged by Azizah had already progressed to the investigation stage at Bareskrim Polri. Rizki noted that the status of the case was elevated to ‘investigation’ in October 2025. At that time, investigators were still probing the defamation allegations Azizah levelled at Resbob and Bigmo.
‘We elevated to the investigation stage first,’ Rizki told reporters on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
The case stemmed from allegations of an affair that was said to drag Azizah’s name. Feeling aggrieved, the daughter of Indonesian House of Representatives member Andre Rosiade reported Resbob and Bigmo to Bareskrim Polri for defamation.
During the handling, investigators sought to mediate between the complainant and the respondents. The mediation took place at the Bareskrim Polri office, the National Police Headquarters, in South Jakarta, on 19 September 2025.
‘From me, I just want to apologise to Ms Azizah and her family, and I will surely be better in the future,’ said Bigmo after the mediation. ‘Hopefully Ms Azizah, the complainant, will forgive me and my brother,’ said Resbob.
Azizah Salsha’s lawyer, Anandya Dipo Pratama, explained at the same location that his client had not yet reached a settlement with Bigmo and Resbob. ‘In the mediation, there may still be no agreement to settle,’ said Anandya.
