Bareskrim Arrests The Doctor, Drug Lord Supplying Meth to Koko Erwin

A joint team from Bareskrim Polri has successfully apprehended Andre Fernando, alias Ko Andre or “The Doctor,” a high-profile fugitive and primary supplier of methamphetamine (sabu) to the syndicate led by Erwin Iskandar, alias Koko Erwin.

Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, confirmed that the arrest resulted from international cooperation between Polri and Interpol in Penang, Malaysia, on Sunday (5/4).

“Indeed, the wanted person named Andre Fernando, alias Charlie or The Doctor, was arrested by the joint team in a collaborative operation involving the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri, the International Relations Division of Polri, and Interpol in Penang,” Eko stated in Jakarta on Monday (6/4).

The Doctor has been on the Wanted Persons List (DPO) since 1 March 2026. He is known as the main distributor supplying drugs to various regions in Indonesia, including the Koko Erwin syndicate in Bima, NTB, and drug networks at the White Rabbit nightclub in Jakarta.

The Doctor’s methods of operation are varied, ranging from land routes to cargo shipments. For methamphetamine deliveries, he often uses cargo disguised inside dolls and gift boxes to deceive officials.

In addition to methamphetamine, Andre Fernando also distributes new types of drugs such as vapes containing etomidate and happy water. He is known to have a strong network in Riau for smuggling these vapes from Malaysia via sea routes through Dumai.

Following his arrest in Malaysia, Andre Fernando was immediately flown back to Indonesia to undergo further legal proceedings. The police have committed to dismantling the entire distribution network controlled by “The Doctor.”

“Currently, the DPO is en route to Indonesia under tight escort by officers,” Eko concluded.
