Barantin evaluates fishery export regulations in North Kalimantan

The Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Bar/Barantin) has highlighted obstacles in regional fishery exports following complaints from business actors regarding lengthy certification processes and a lack of container facilities in North Kalimantan.

During the “Ngobras Kaltara” discussion forum held on Sunday (30/8), the Head of Barantin, Abdul Kadir Karding, ensured that the agency will immediately undertake cross-sector synchronisation to cut hindering bureaucracy. Furthermore, the agency plans to prepare alternative logistics schemes to boost the competitiveness of the region’s flagship commodities in the global market.
