Bappisus Chief Discusses Optimising State Budget with Attorney General's Intelligence Division
The Head of the Special Development and Investigation Control Agency (Bappisus), Aris Marsudiyanto, held a discussion with the Junior Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) of the Attorney General’s Office, Reda Manthovani. The discussion was titled ‘Optimising the Role of Law Enforcement Intelligence as a Supporting System in the Implementation of the President’s Asta Cita’.
‘Here, Bappisus was asked to provide input as a resource person. It concerns what might be synergised or how we, as the Head of Bappisus, can assist in the process of optimising the state budget (APBN),’ Aris told reporters after the discussion in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, Monday (10/8/2026).
Aris stated that the optimisation of the state budget is expected to reach the regional level. This prompted him to coordinate with the Attorney General’s Office to maximise the budget’s effectiveness. ‘Especially down to the regions. Because Bappisus does not reach the regions; the one that reaches the regions is the Prosecutor’s Office,’ he said.
Aris assessed that the Attorney General’s Office has been thorough in law enforcement processes that cause state losses. He appreciated the Attorney General’s Office for participating in eradicating corruption and other violations detrimental to the state. ‘You have all seen how the law enforcement process, the eradication of corruption, manipulation, illegal logging, under-invoicing, under-counting, transfer pricing—all of it—we are wiping it out,’ he stated.
Furthermore, Aris affirmed that the cooperation between Bappisus and the Attorney General’s Office is solid. According to him, Bappisus also coordinates intensively with the Attorney General’s Office. ‘So, the cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office and other law enforcement officers is quite solid,’ he added.
