Banjarmasin (ANTARA) – The Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) has affirmed that expanding financial access for the public must be accompanied by guarantees of service security and financial literacy to ensure a real impact on national welfare.

The Director of Islamic Economics and State-Owned Enterprises at Bappenas, Rosy Wediawaty, stated in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, on Tuesday, that financial access is a strategic instrument in the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN), but its utilisation must be ensured to be safe and productive.

“Expanding financial access is the first step, not the ultimate goal. The challenge ahead is to ensure that the public can use financial services safely, productively, and sustainably,” she said.

According to Rosy, the Roadmap of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) is key to ensuring that every rupiah of public funds allocated truly has an impact on improving the economic quality of citizens.

“Cross-sectoral synergy through Regional Government Organisations (OPD) is urgently needed to accelerate the penetration of this access,” she said.

She emphasised that multi-party synergy through the TPAKD is key to ensuring that every intervention and public budget truly has a real impact on the financial welfare of the community in supporting the achievement of the RPJPN targets.

“The integration of safe financial services is crucial for vulnerable groups, including the empowerment of women and the protection of children, in order to create an inclusive financial ecosystem that is resilient to future economic risks,” said Rosy Wediawaty.
