Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy has stressed the importance of digital infrastructure development that serves the needs of the people. “I am very pleased with this roadmap so that our infrastructure is not just built for the sake of it, but is also useful for the community,” he said during the launch of the Indonesia Digital Infrastructure Roadmap 2026-2030 in Jakarta on Thursday. The roadmap, launched by Bappenas and related ministries and agencies, serves as a strategic and technocratic guide to strengthen digital infrastructure development in support of the digital transformation and economy towards the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision. This document is a crucial reference for policy formulation, investment planning, regulatory strengthening, and institutional development to realise a national digital ecosystem that is inclusive, secure, resilient, and sovereign. “We hope that the digital infrastructure prepared by the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas together with other ministries and agencies can be used for the interests of the Indonesian nation to achieve Indonesia Emas 2045,” said the Minister. Deputy for Economic and Digital Transformation at the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas, Vivi Yulaswati, added that the digital era requires Indonesia to be ready in developing its digital infrastructure. “Digital infrastructure is the key to running a digital economy that will boost productivity and improve welfare,” said Vivi. The preparation of this roadmap is also an effort to ensure that digital infrastructure development does not only focus on physical construction but truly answers the real needs of the community, industry, and government. “This roadmap is not just a document, but a contract to the public that in the next four to five years, the quality of life of the people can be better through the digitalisation process,” she stated.
