Bappenas and REKIND Partner to Strengthen Industrial Engineering Development

Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy has emphasised the importance of PT Rekayasa Industri (REKIND) in supporting the industrialisation of national commodities and driving added value through downstream processing. The synergy between the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and REKIND is expected to provide a strong foundation for supporting priority national development programmes aligned with the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), particularly in food and energy security, industrial downstreaming, and sustainable development. “We hope REKIND will industrialise all our commodities, from simple industries like tobacco to rare earths,” said Minister Pambudy. He also expressed hope that REKIND will continue to grow into a more independent company, capable of playing a role in building a green ecosystem and creating green jobs as part of the transition towards a green economy. President Director of PT Rekayasa Industri, Triyani Utaminingsih, stated that the company’s more than four decades of experience in industrial engineering serves as a significant asset to support national development. The collaboration is expected to strengthen support for national priority programmes and enhance human resource capacity.
