Banyumas Regional Secretary continues duties following KPK raid on office
Purwokerto (ANTARA) - The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Banyumas Regency, Agus Nur Hadie, has asserted that he will continue to perform his official duties as usual following a search of his office by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday (10/9).
Speaking to journalists in Purwokerto, Central Java, on Monday, Agus stated that KPK officers arrived at his office within the Banyumas Regency Secretariat complex on Thursday (10/9) at approximately 14:00 WIB.
According to him, the KPK officers requested information regarding the cooperation between Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) Purwokerto and the Banyumas Regency Government.
“It is true, on Thursday around 14:00 WIB, KPK officers arrived at my office. Their arrival is related to the cooperation between Unsoed and the Banyumas Regency Government,” he said.
He noted that the KPK officers remained in his office for approximately two to three hours.
During the operation, officers took several documents and seized Agus’s mobile phone.
“The officers took a number of documents and seized my mobile phone. As for the documents taken, I do not know the details,” he said.
After the KPK officers left his office, Agus stated that he returned to his official duties as usual, including attending several government agendas on Thursday (10/9) and Friday (11/9).
On Monday, Agus was also scheduled to attend several meetings with heads of departments, as well as consultation and coordination agendas with local government officials.
“Today there is a meeting with heads of departments and official consultations. Additionally, there is a coordination meeting with the assistants,” he said.
Regarding the specific subject matter being investigated by the KPK, Agus claimed he did not know the exact focus of the examination and requested that such information be confirmed directly with the KPK.
“For the subject matter of the investigation, please ask the KPK officers directly,” he said.
Agus emphasised that the request for information has not disrupted his official activities.
On Monday morning, Agus also participated in a morning assembly with the Banyumas Regency Government ranks at the Pendopo Si Panji courtyard, Purwokerto.
Previously, the KPK suspected that Agus had knowledge of corrupt practices involving new student admissions at Unsoed.
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the KPK searched the Regional Secretary’s office as part of a series of raids conducted between 9–10 September 2026.
“The search of the Regional Secretary’s office was conducted because the individual is suspected of knowing about the provision of recommendations for students who had paid certain sums of money to be admitted to Unsoed,” Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Friday (11/9).
