Bantul to Hold Job Fair Targeting 750 Placements

Yogyakarta (ANTARA) - The Bantul Regency Government will hold a Job Fair targeting the placement of around 750 jobseekers as part of the Bantul Creative Expo 2026 series at the Sultan Agung Bantul Stadium area on 6–7 August 2026.

The Regional Secretary of Bantul Regency, Agus Budi Raharja, speaking in Bantul on Friday, said the Job Fair is one of a series of events making up the Bantul Creative Expo 2026, as part of efforts to reduce the unemployment rate in the region.

“It is planned that 15 companies will take part, opening around 1,000 job vacancies,” he said.

According to him, the participating companies come from various regions across a diverse range of industrial sectors, thereby opening up more employment opportunities for the public.

He invited residents, particularly the people of Bantul who are looking for work, to take advantage of the opportunity, as the event brings jobseekers and companies together directly.

“For the people of Bantul, especially jobseekers, please come to this event, as it is an opportunity to obtain more decent employment,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bantul Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Industry, and Trade Office (DKUKMPP), Prapta Nugraha, said that of the roughly 1,000 vacancies available, the office is targeting around 750 jobseekers to be successfully placed.

“Out of 1,000 vacancies, we hope around 750 can be filled,” he said.

The office is working together with the Bantul Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) in organising the Job Fair, including the registration, selection, and job interview processes.

“The technical implementation will be carried out together with Disnakertrans Bantul, including the interview process and other stages,” he said.
