Bantul Ministry of Religious Affairs Evaluates Librarian Innovation to Optimise Literacy Services
In an effort to strengthen the quality of literacy services and promote digital transformation, the Bantul Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kankemenag) held a meeting titled ‘Evaluation of Librarian Innovation’. The event took place in the Sub-Division of Administration meeting room on Monday (13/7).
The meeting was attended by key structural and functional officials, including the Head of Sub-Division of Administration, Aminuddin, S.Ag, M.Si; Human Resources Analysts Isman, S.IP and Agus Yunianto, S.E, M.AP; and Planning Officer Tyas Wening D., S.E, M.M. Also present was the Head of the Librarian Working Group, Riza Alfian, A.Md, along with all librarians from the Kankemenag Bantul, including a representative from MAN 3 Bantul, Prantini, A.Md.
The event began with remarks from the Head of the Librarian Working Group, Riza Alfian, who appreciated the attendance and emphasised the importance of synergy in creating service innovations in the modern era.
During the main session, the Head of Sub-Division of Administration, Aminuddin, led the evaluation and provided guidance. He stressed that the role of librarians under the Ministry of Religious Affairs must be dynamic and adaptive to technological developments, moving beyond the conventional role of book guardians. ‘Librarian innovations must have a real impact on improving the literacy culture of the community and internal state civil apparatus within the Bantul Ministry of Religious Affairs,’ he asserted.
Following the guidance, an interactive discussion session was led by Riza Alfian. This forum allowed librarians to share challenges encountered in the field, evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing work programmes, and formulate new breakthroughs that are more aligned with the current digital needs of society. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continuously improve the competence and quality of library services within the Bantul Ministry of Religious Affairs.
