Bantul Health Office Targets 460,000 Residents for Free Health Check Programme

The Bantul District Health Office (Dinkes) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is targeting 460,000 residents to participate in the Free Health Check Programme (CKG) this year. Head of the Bantul Health Office, Agus Tri Widiyanto, stated that the programme is ongoing, with temporary achievements reaching around 10 per cent of the target. “As of the end of last month (May), it was around one hundred thousand, but this number continues to grow and we will recapitulate it at the end of the month (June),” Agus said in Yogyakarta on Tuesday. The Bantul Regency Government aims to realise the CKG programme target of 460,000 people by carrying out various accelerations to maximise outreach to the community. “We are maximising acceleration by conducting CKG at events held within the community,” Agus said. In addition to targeting community events, he continued, the CKG programme will also be implemented in cross-sectoral government agencies, such as the Bawaslu office and others. He is optimistic that the realisation of the CKG programme this year can reach the determined target, especially considering last year’s achievement which also exceeded the target. “In 2025, from a target of 360,000 people, we achieved 370,000 people,” Agus said. He confirmed that all 27 community health centres (puskesmas) spread across Bantul Regency can provide CKG services, especially for residents living nearby. He acknowledged there are some obstacles in the implementation of CKG, particularly the lack of proactivity among residents in registering for the programme at the puskesmas. “We are addressing this with a proactive outreach system, by going directly into the community,” said Head of the Bantul Health Office, Agus Tri Widiyantara.
