Bantul — The Bantul District Health Office in the Special Region of Yogyakarta has placed hospitals and inpatient health centres on standby to provide 24-hour services during the Eid al-Fitr holiday break for the Islamic year 1447 Hijriah.

“As a form of emergency and traffic accident services during this Eid holiday, we are putting hospitals and inpatient health centres on alert so they can be accessed round the clock,” said Agus Tri Widiyantara, Head of the Bantul District Health Office, in Bantul on Sunday.

According to him, there are 16 inpatient health centres in Bantul spread across 16 sub-districts, while in Bantul Sub-district there is the Panembahan Senopati Regional General Hospital (RSUD) ready to provide 24-hour services.

All health centres and hospitals will provide services during the Eid holiday, whilst the 11 non-inpatient health centres will continue to serve the public and only close on national public holidays.

“Specifically, the 16 inpatient health centres in Bantul will be open 24 hours for emergency services, then the other 11 health centres will continue operating during joint leave periods, so they only close on public holidays set by the government,” he said.

He added that the office has also prepared rapid response teams, backup personnel, and ambulances with full equipment to anticipate health emergencies and facilitate transport to and from accident locations.

“In relation to this, we have also divided zones and assigned responsibility for health services in accident-prone areas including emergency cases,” he said.

Besides hospitals and health centres, during the Eid holiday, the Health Office will place health teams at Eid Security Posts (Pospam) at Druwo Four-Way Junction on the Southern Ring Road, Parangkusumo Service Post, Srandakan Roundabout Post, and Bantul City Post from 18 to 25 March 2026.

“All hospitals, health centres, the Bantul Red Crescent (PMI), and Bantul 119 Emergency Call Centre (PSC 119) handling initial cases of traffic accidents during the Eid al-Fitr holiday are required to report the results of their activities,” he said.
