Bantul Government Targets IDR 2.3 Billion Turnover for 2026 Creative Expo
The Bantul Regency Government (Pemkab) is targeting a turnover of up to IDR 2.3 billion for the Bantul Creative Expo 2026, which will be held over nine days from 1 to 9 August 2026 at the Sultan Agung Stadium complex in Bantul. Bantul Regional Secretary Agus Budi Raharja stated on Wednesday that the government is aiming for approximately 12,200 visitors per day, or around 110,000 visitors throughout the event. “This target is linear with last year’s achievement, especially since this year’s event does not coincide with the rainy season, so we hope there will be no weather constraints. Over nine days, we are targeting around 110,000 visitors,” he said. From this visitation target, the Bantul administration estimates a daily transaction turnover of approximately IDR 263 million. “The turnover target for the nine-day event is IDR 2.3 billion,” he added. According to Agus, this year’s target is based on the achievements of the 2025 Bantul Creative Expo, which was held over eight days and attracted 97,593 visitors, averaging about 12,100 visitors per day. “Last year, turnover reached around IDR 2.1 billion, or an average of IDR 262.86 million per day,” he noted. He is optimistic the target can be met because the 2026 Bantul Creative Expo will be held concurrently with the Mataram Culture Fest, which takes place on 1–2 August at the same venue. “It will be livelier because the Mataram Culture Fest is being held on the same stage on 1 and 2 August,” he said. A total of 62 stands from Bantul Regency government agencies and 100 stands from MSMEs engaged in crafts, culinary, fashion, automotive, and other household needs will be present at the event. “There will be 100 MSME stands and 62 government stands managed by the committee,” he stated. The collaboration between the two agendas is expected to increase visitor numbers while serving as a promotional platform for arts, culture, and micro, small, and medium enterprises in Bantul Regency. Beyond boosting economic turnover, the event is also expected to drive the tourism sector and provide a space for MSMEs to promote their creative works and products. “This activity is a form of appreciation so they have a stage to showcase their creativity,” he said. He expressed hope that the Bantul Creative Expo 2026 would become a platform for promotion, innovation, and collaboration among various elements of society, while supporting Bantul’s efforts to become a creative city on the world stage.
