Banten's 2027 Regional Budget Projected to Fall to Rp9.51 Trillion

Banten Province’s regional budget (APBD) for 2027 is projected to fall from last year’s Rp 10.27 trillion to Rp 9.51 trillion. Governor Andra Soni said the decline was due to adjustments in central government transfers to regions (TKD).

Under the agreed General Budget Policy and Provisional Budget Ceiling Priorities (KUA-PPAS) for the 2027 fiscal year, regional revenue is targeted at more than Rp 9.51 trillion. Meanwhile, regional expenditure is budgeted at more than Rp 9.49 trillion, resulting in a surplus of more than Rp 13.39 billion.

“In 2027, our fiscal condition will experience a decline due to adjustments in transfers to regions. However, we must remain optimistic,” Andra said in a statement on Wednesday (19/8/2026).

Because of the decline, Andra has asked his staff to be efficient and creative in seeking locally generated revenue (PAD).

“This triggers regional efficiency and creativity, encouraging regions to be more efficient in managing budgets and to seek creative and innovative sources of locally generated revenue,” he said.

Andra also asked the Banten provincial government to be more optimal in spending its budget so that it is well targeted.

“Optimise spending so that it is better targeted. Focus the budget on priority programmes that have a direct impact on the community,” he said.

Andra expressed hope that the 2027 budget would provide optimal services to the public. He also invited all parties, especially the Banten Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), to oversee budget implementation.

“Hopefully it can further improve services to the community. For that, let us together oversee and supervise the implementation of development in Banten Province,” he said.
