A plenary session to present the BPK audit results was held on Monday, 25 May 2026, at the Banten Provincial DPRD Building in Serang City. Attendees included Banten Governor Andra Soni, Deputy Governor A Dimyati Natakusumah, BPK RI Vice Chairman Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, National Financial Audit Director General Widhi Widayat, and Banten Provincial BPK Chief Firman Nurcahyadi.

During the session, Governor Andra Soni signed the minutes and received the financial audit results from BPK RI Vice Chairman Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi.

BPK RI Vice Chairman Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi stated that Banten’s achievement of ten consecutive Unqualified Opinions (WTP) is a success in maintaining the rating. However, several issues require attention, including the implementation of 13 village road packages and inventory spending, construction projects not meeting regulations, road and irrigation infrastructure works, inventory management at some regional public hospitals, land asset utilisation, and recording of fixed and intangible assets.

The BPK recommended that the Governor instruct relevant agency heads to adequately control procurement, construction, road, irrigation, and infrastructure works. It also urged proper oversight of inventory storage and recording, as well as management of Regional Assets (BMD).

“BPK also commends Banten’s follow-up on audit recommendations, which has exceeded the national target of 75 per cent. As of 31 December 2025, 1,595 out of 1,962 recommendations were addressed, representing 81.34 per cent,” he added.

Governor Andra Soni urged his team to strengthen integrity culture, improve planning and budgeting quality, enhance internal controls, and ensure every rupiah of the budget benefits the public. He acknowledged that future governance challenges will become more complex.

“The BPK is a strategic partner in improving governance and public service quality. There is still room for improvement, and with collaboration, openness, and a service-oriented spirit, we are confident in maintaining and enhancing this achievement as part of our accountability to the public,” he said.

“The Unqualified Opinion is not the final goal but a tool to continuously improve good governance, transparency, and accountability. Therefore, all BPK recommendations and observations will be taken seriously and followed up according to regulations,” he added.

“We thank the BPK for their input, corrections, and recommendations during the audit process. We also apologise for any shortcomings during the audit, from entry meetings to exit meetings and the delivery of audit reports,” he concluded.
