Banten Provincial Government's Response Following Raid on PT ABM by High Prosecutor's Office in Corruption Case

The Banten Provincial Government (Pemprov Banten) has responded to the raid at the office of PT Agrobisnis Banten Mandiri (ABM) by the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) in connection with a corruption case. Pemprov Banten appreciates the ongoing process.

“Indeed, the Governor’s directive is that we must respect the running legal process,” said the Provincial Secretary (Sekda) of Banten, Deden Apriandhi Hartawan, on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

According to Deden, his side is evaluating the performance of PT ABM and other regional-owned enterprises (BUMD). There is even a selection team in place to change the leadership in those BUMDs.

“Regarding the evaluation, it’s not just ABM, but all of them, which we have already carried out. We have also formed a selection team for the existing BUMDs. It’s just that this incident happened,” said Deden.

Previously, Kejati Banten raided the office of the BUMD PT ABM in Serang City. The raid is related to alleged criminal acts of corruption. The Head of Legal Information at Kejati Banten, Jonathan Suranta Martua, stated that the raid was conducted on Thursday (16/4) related to the financial management of PT ABM.

“Regarding the investigation of the case of alleged corruption in the financial management of PT Agrobisnis Banten Mandiri (ABM) for the years 2020-2024,” said Jonathan on Friday (17/4).

The Special Crimes Investigation Team of Kejati Banten seized 90 important documents related to the corruption case. In addition, the investigators also seized one computer unit from the office.

“The investigators obtained 90 bundles of important documents as well as electronic evidence in the form of one CPU unit related to the investigation. These items will later be used as evidence in the aforementioned case,” he said.

Jonathan has not provided detailed information on the case being investigated by Kejati Banten. However, he assured that the case being handled concerns financial management from 2020 to 2024.
