Banten Governor Andra Soni announced that the provincial government has received assistance for the construction of nine road sections under the Ministry of Public Works’ 2025 Presidential Instruction on Regional Roads (IJD) programme. This year, the provincial government is proposing 50 village road sections for central government funding.

“For the 2025 IJD, thank God, Banten Province received nine road sections with a budget of Rp 110 billion, and they have been completed,” Andra Soni said in Serang City on Tuesday (23/6/2026).

According to Andra, this year the provincial government is proposing 50 road sections across all regencies and cities in Banten. The selection and verification process is currently being carried out by the Ministry of Public Works.

“This year we are proposing 50 road sections across all regencies and cities. We are waiting for the allocation from the central government,” Andra said.

Andra expressed hope that the programme would improve connectivity for the people of Banten. He hopes the proposals will be approved by the central government.

“The hope is that inter-regional connectivity can be realised, one of which is through the president’s assistance via the IJD. We are following the procedures,” he said.

The nine IJD road sections for the 2025 fiscal year in Banten Province that have been inaugurated include improvements to Jalan Priyayi-Terumbu, Jalan Terumbu-Sawah Luhur, Jalan Sukawaris-Tanjungan Segments I and II, Jalan Pejamuran-Kresek, Jalan Cimanying-Jiput, Jalan Simpang-Ciboleger, and preservation of Jalan Sampay-Gunung Kencana, with a total length of over 19 kilometres.

Head of the Banten Province National Road Implementation Agency, Primawan Avicenna, confirmed that the IJD proposal submitted by the Banten provincial government for 2026 could be fully realised. However, all administrative documents for the IJD proposal will be verified first.

“Everything is still in process,” he said.
