Banten Provincial Government Partners with Muhammadiyah to Strengthen Children's Education

Serang (ANTARA) - The Banten Provincial Government is collaborating with Muhammadiyah to continue playing an active role as a strategic partner of the government in strengthening education and child protection, as well as adolescents, in the digital era. Banten Governor Andra Soni, in Serang on Sunday, stated that strengthening education and protecting children from the negative impacts of information technology developments is one of the government’s strategic issues. He highlighted the significant changes in the interactions of the younger generation, who now engage more in the virtual world than in the real world. This condition, he continued, is feared to impact the quality of the nation’s future generations if not anticipated. “This policy will truly be implemented and felt in the field,” said Andra while attending the Eid al-Fitr Silaturahmi event at the Banten Provincial Muhammadiyah Leadership Office. “Let us make this movement part of progressive da’wah, so that our young generation is not only technologically intelligent but also strong in morals and Islamic values,” Andra stated. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Banten Provincial Muhammadiyah Leadership, Muhammad Syamsuddin, responded positively to the invitation and expressed his optimism that Banten under Andra Soni’s leadership will advance and enlighten further. He hopes that Banten can transform into a centre of civilisation, business, and trade. Therefore, his side invites all elements of society to unite in supporting the government’s efforts to realise prosperity.
