Banten Provincial Government Overhauls Management of 3 Regional-Owned Enterprises, Director Selection to Commence Shortly

Three BUMDs set to undergo the director selection process include PT Banten Global Development (BGD), PT Jamkrida Banten, and PT Agrobisnis Banten Mandiri (ABM). The open selection process for director candidates is one method to make BUMDs more professional and productive in increasing Banten’s original local revenue (PAD).

Deden serves as the head of the selection committee (pansel) and will schedule a meeting with committee members. The meeting will discuss the selection pattern, implementation schedule, and selection mechanism.

“Well, in that meeting, we will determine the selection pattern, timing, and so on,” said Deden on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

Deden explained that the committee composition consists of one academic, one practitioner, and representatives from the Banten Provincial Government, supported by a secretariat to assist with administrative and technical aspects of the selection process.

“The committee comprises one from academia, one from practitioners, and from the Provincial Government. Assisted by the secretariat,” he clarified.

He added that the formed committee will handle the entire director selection process for BUMDs under the Banten Provincial Government. However, the selection stages will be conducted in phases according to each BUMD’s schedule.

“It’s the same. Each one is the same, but the selection times will differ, for example, which one first, then the second,” he stated.

Deden assured that the selection process will be carried out professionally, upholding principles of transparency, accountability, and fairness.

“Certainly, this process will be conducted transparently, accountably, and fairly. We want to obtain the best figures who have competence, integrity, and business capabilities to advance the BUMDs,” he said.
