Banten Police Name Two New Suspects in Cilegon Chamber of Commerce Extortion Case Against EV Battery Factory
The Criminal Investigation Directorate of Banten Regional Police on Wednesday (11/6) named two new suspects, identified by the initials IB and ZB, in a case of alleged extortion and coercion by officials of the Cilegon City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) against PT Chengda, the contractor for the construction of PT Chandra Asri Alkali's electric vehicle battery factory.
Banten Regional Police Criminal Investigation Director, Police Commissioner Dian Setiawan, stated on Wednesday (11/6) that the two suspects have been charged under Articles 368 and 335 of the Criminal Code, carrying a maximum sentence of nine years' imprisonment.
