Banten Police Chief Urges Coastal Residents to Report Maritime Crimes

Banten Police Chief Inspector General Hengki has committed to increasing patrols by deploying 18 patrol boats and one auxiliary patrol vessel from the National Police’s Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam) in the waters of Banten. Speaking after a flower-scattering ceremony for the 80th Bhayangkara Day at the Banten Police Water and Air Unit headquarters in Merak, Cilegon, on Wednesday (24/6), Kapolda Banten also urged the public to assist the police in conducting surveillance when they observe suspicious activities in maritime areas, in order to anticipate various criminal acts.
